The standard for sustainability communication is changing
Textile sustainability communication is changing under ECGT. Directive (EU) 2024/825 sets tighter requirements for environmental claims and sustainability labels used in consumer-facing commercial practices in the EU. For textile and apparel brands, this means stating exactly what a material-related claim applies to, supporting it with credible evidence, and making that evidence easy to access.
